CAMPING

One of my friend, Abdul Mu’iz bin Haji Abdul Talip had camping with Singaporean students during this school holiday. He was lucky that he was chosen to represent our school, SMPW to go for the camping. Actually the camping was should be held in Singapore, but the plan was cancelled. So the Singaporean students had to come to Brunei instead.

The camping was held in Brunei for one week, from 31st Nov – 6th Dec 2008. They have visited only three districts except Belait District. At Temburong District, they visited to Belalong, Rumah Panjang and Canopy Walk. Our famous Venice of the East (Kampong Ayer) and Masjid SOAS were also visited at our capital city, Bandar Seri Begawan. Whilst at Tutong, they went to the Tasek Merimbun and the Ambulong Factory. At the Ambulong Factory, Mu’iz told me that they were asked to eat worm (who are brave only ho3) which can be found in Rumbia Tree. Ambuyat our traditional food is made from this tree before they are made into ambulong.

Learn to weave Ketupat (Brunei's Tradition)

During this holiday, I’ve learn to weave Ketupat Lapas . There are two type; Ketupat Lapas, which are Ketupat Lapas Laki and Ketupat Lapas Bini . We use leaves from the Nipah Tree a.k.a Pokok Apong which is called by the people of Brunei. They can be find floating on the river of Brunei and my father got the leaves from the Belait river. Also ‘Gula Apong’ is made from this tree. In the past my mom said the leaves also can be use to make cigarette, Tudung Dulang , basket and etc.

For me it is easy to weave Ketupat Satay than Ketupat Lapas…cuz I can’t differentiate which leave should go in or out. I’ve tried to make it for ten times but still you know hahaha maybe I’ve no skill, anyway I am still proud cuz I know how to weave Ketupat Satay ho3. You out there should try to learn to weave Ketupat I know it is not easy, just try your best because you have long holidays hahaha...

Do Something!!!

I know the school holidays is long especially for form 5 out there…if I’m not mistake our holidays is nearly 3 months. Maybe some of you have nothing fun to do at home, why don’t you make a list what to do rather than you do your everyday routine isn’t that right hahaha…

Well why you don’t go to Library nearby your home sometime . I’m sure least people go there cuz it is not teenagers favorite place…it a good place to gain knowledge. I’m sure some of you have forgotten what had you learn this year because you all never touch your book again and maybe some of you already keep it in boxes right after exam. Hahaha I know about it because my brother exactly did the same.

Or why don’t you guys help your mom and dad do chores at home This way you are In good shape because you are automatically work out when doing your chores . Don’t just sit at home eating snacks and watch TV you’ll be fat within a month…so go out-work out and get some fresh air and don’t be lazy…

Frank Van Doorn is the name…he taught us Science in form 3, and then he taught us chemistry in form 5. He can do complex math in his mind without using calculator which amazes us. He love to talk bout ‘what is science behind it’ and make speculation when we learn. Sometimes he gone too far when teaching and we couldn’t understand what was he said. The word ‘children’ always come out from his mouth when we couldn’t catch up and slow when make any calculation .

Apart from what I write…I just want to say Thank You for Teaching Us all…without you Where We’ll be Standing Right Now…

You have my heart…and we’ll never be worlds apart…May be in magazines ho3 just kidding. Since I like to draw and sketch, so I LOVE to collect comic kind of magazine. Collection start since I was in form 2…when I went to Eng Hong Shop there’s a magazine shelf, well I just looking around that time not sure what to buy hahaha Then I see one of those magazines which attract my attention. So I bought it for $3.80…but before I buy I made sure the magazine didn’t has any torn or folded pages hahaha Then start my first collection the STARZ magazine…urban style magazine. The magazine is release twice a month and the price…sometimes change and cost me BND$6. As a collector I never care what price they put on the magazine…



Since that I buy different type of magazine like Utopia, Gempak & Kreko…even I put transparent cover to cover my magazine ho3. Love to read anything like Japanese comic cuz of…the scene...The storyboard…and the drawing. Picnic at KB beach

I thought that after the ‘O’ Level Exam that I will get a job, rather than stayin' home doin' nothing. Well I didn’t get any job rite now cuz no job vacancies! My holidays are too long even I can’t stand..stayin @ home makes me crazy every single day. Cuz I don now wat 2 do, tryin to make a plan wat to do on that day but I can’t make it out. Hope I will not be lunatic during my longgggg holidays hahaha….



Anyway I hav picnic wif my best buddies 2day xoxo…

Though not olz my frens come but I am still happy, cuz the picnic went smoothly.
